Job Description

About us

Eden is a leader in sustainable natural resource recovery. Our goal is to offer a sustainable solution that reduces or eliminates water use, underground water contamination, wastewater production, air pollution, and induced seismicity associated with current fracturing methods. Our groundbreaking Electrical Reservoir Stimulation technology has the power to decarbonize how we extract and utilize Earth's natural resources. We hail from 9 different countries and counting, we love working with each other, are high energy and committed to our mission.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual for a three-month summer internship position in computational modeling of subsurface processes. The successful candidate will join our team to work on projects that integrate numerical methods, flow, heat and reactive transport in porous media, and geomechanics. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply their academic knowledge in a practical, industry-focused environment.

Tasks:
  • Develop and implement numerical models using finite element and finite volume methods.
  • Formulate problems related to heat transfer, multiphase flow, geomechanics, and reactive transport in porous media.
  • Code and debug in C/C++ and Python environments.
  • Assist in the analysis of experimental data and model validation.
  • Collaborate with the numerical team members and other teams on various projects.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master's or Ph.D. program in Computational Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong background in numerical methods, especially finite element analysis.
  • Good understanding of flow and heat transfer in porous media, and geomechanics.
  • Proficiency in coding with C/C++ and Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eligible to work in the US without immediate sponsorship.

Benefits

  • Paid accrued time off.
