Compliance Lead

Kite Compliance is reimagining product certifications and compliance for physical products. We use AI to automate and streamline compliance processes, making it easier for manufacturers to navigate complex certification requirements.

As Compliance Lead, you'll be at the intersection of compliance expertise, customer success, and product development. Your role will involve guiding customers through compliance workflows while also working closely with our engineering team to automate and improve these processes.

• Serve as the primary compliance expert, researching standards and regulations, and helping customers navigate certification workflows.
• Coordinate with third-party labs and regulatory bodies to facilitate testing and certification.
• Respond to customer inquiries with detailed, actionable guidance on compliance requirements.
• Build a network of external compliance specialists for specific vertical expertise.
• Identify common compliance pain points and translate them into product improvements.

• Work closely with the software engineering team to develop automation tools for compliance workflows.
• Help design and refine internal logic for AI-driven compliance recommendations.
• Define and execute strategy for data acquisition and reinforcement learning.
• Test and validate automated compliance processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Act as the bridge between compliance requirements and product innovation.

Requirements

• Compliance-Savvy You have experience with product certification processes (UL, ASTM, NFRC, ENERGY STAR, etc.) or deep knowledge of regulatory workflows.
• Tech-Forward You're excited about leveraging software and automation to improve compliance processes.
• Customer-Oriented You can translate complex regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance for customers.
• Detail-Driven You thrive in navigating nuanced regulatory requirements and ensuring accuracy in workflows.
• Collaborative You're comfortable working cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and external stakeholders.

• Extensive experience in product certification, compliance, or regulatory affairs.
• Familiarity with certification processes in the built environment (a strong plus).
• Prior experience working with software teams or in a SaaS/product-driven environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
