• Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce precision components for aviation and aerospace applications.
• Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product quality and adherence to design standards.
• Perform regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
• Monitor machining operations, making adjustments to tooling and processes as necessary to maintain quality standards.
• Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure component specifications are met.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop efficient machining processes and improve production workflows.
• Document production processes, maintain accurate records of work completed, and report any discrepancies or product defects to the team lead.
• Provide on-the-job training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or education in machining is preferred.
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aviation or aerospace.
• In-depth knowledge of CNC machining operations, tools, and techniques.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with programming CNC machines using G-code and M-code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
• Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards in the workplace.
