Cloud Security Engineer

Enterfusion is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our cloud security architecture. As cloud technologies become increasingly integrated into our business operations, your expertise will help safeguard our systems and data from evolving threats.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security.
• Strong understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty) are strongly preferred.
• Proficient working knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and network security.
• Exposure to security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and compliance regulations (GDPR, HIPAA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to security incidents and breaches.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with cloud security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, IAM policies).
• Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline security.
• Understanding of container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Cloud Architecture and Design:

• Clearly and comprehensively document security configurations, best practices, and procedures for incident response.
• Safely deploy, configure, and oversee cloud resources within Azure, AWS, and Entra following industry best practices.
• Establish and manage effective security controls, which include identity management, role-based access control, encryption, data protection strategies, and compliance audits.
• Formulate and execute security strategies aimed at safeguarding data, applications, and infrastructure in cloud environments.

Incident Response:

• Monitor and respond to security incidents in the cloud environment.
• Conduct investigations of security breaches and develop actionable reports.
• Work with the IT team to implement remediation plans effectively.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security controls in the software development lifecycle.
• Assist in educating team members on cloud security best practices and policies.

Compliance and Governance:

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations related to cloud security.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of security incidents, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and present reports on cloud security metrics and status to management.

This position may require limited travel for training and conferences.

Salary, Full-time, Exempt

Annual salary of $85,000-100,000/year commensurate with experience as well as paid vacation, health insurance plans, retirement program, disability insurance, and life insurance.
