Job Summary

The Cloud Developer is responsible for designing and developing cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks that support Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Data as a Service (DaaS). This role requires expertise in automating cloud environments using DevSecOps practices, analyzing application compatibility, and recommending optimal deployment strategies. The developer provides guidance on cloud migration, cost optimization, and recovery planning to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.

Responsibilities may include:

• Design and implement cloud architectures that support PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS models.
• Automate deployment and management of cloud resources using DevSecOps tools and methodologies.
• Analyze existing applications and recommend migration or deployment strategies for cloud environments.
• Evaluate workloads and advise on whether solutions should remain on-premise, migrate to the cloud, or operate in hybrid environments.
• Develop and document strategies for system failure recovery, ensuring high availability and resilience.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses to optimize cloud usage while maintaining performance and security standards.
• Ensure cloud solutions align with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

Requirements

Required Minimum Education

• Education should be consistent with experience. Relevant experience and professional certifications can outweigh the need for a formal college degree

Required Years of Experience

• Requires 5-8+ years of relevant experience; final job level (Mid or Senior) will be determined based on skills and qualifications

Required Skills, Qualifications, Technical Experience, etc.

• Fully Adjudicated Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance or greater

Preferred Skills, Qualifications, Technical Experience, etc.

• Experience integrating third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks (P)
• Experience with Splunk, Oracle/SQL based platforms, and python
• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
• AWS Certified Cloud Pracitioner
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate
• NIST NICE Work Roles - Secure Software Development (DD-WRL-003)
