We are seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to bridge the gap between frontline clinicians, pathologists, and business subject matter experts, driving the next generation of healthcare solutions. This role leverages cutting-edge technologies, healthcare ontologies, and clinical terminology to build a modern language framework for large-scale Clinical Decision Support (CDS) solutions.

As a key liaison between software engineers and clinical content authors, this role provides technical thought leadership within agile development teams, contributing to complex CDS programs, defining requirements, and ensuring the safe, repeatable, and high-performance implementation of clinical logic. The Clinical Informatics Specialist will play a crucial role in advancing CDS content innovation, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of both internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop scalable and repeatable CDS functions using industry-standard Clinical Quality Language (CQL), Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), and various healthcare coding systems.

Design and implement clinical workflow logic, terminology models, and technical structures while mentoring colleagues to enable self-service capabilities for their CDS programs.

Serve as a technical liaison, collaborating with software engineers, clinical authors, and stakeholders to extend and enhance our smart logic systems.

Train and support CDS content authors in utilizing clinical authoring tools and syntax for developing high-quality decision support logic.

Preferred Qualifications:

Solid clinical experience or deep understanding of the healthcare industry.

Experience with Health Information Technology (HIT), Electronic Health Records (EHRs), consulting, configuration, or product management.

Familiarity with writing clinical rules using CQL, eCQM, or other clinical reasoning frameworks.

Proven ability to engage, influence, and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Demonstrated success in leading and managing multiple projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in multi-step clinical pathway algorithms.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new skills and technologies.

A collaborative mindset with a willingness to work across departments and step outside of their comfort zone.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare technology, or a related field.

Pay Range:

$80,852 - $131,700

All job offers will be based on a candidate?s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
