The Charge Nurse oversees daily patient care operations in a state-operated hospital facility, ensuring safety, infection control, and adherence to clinical standards. Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college.
• Licensure: Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license; CPR certification required.
• Experience: Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR), MS Office, and clinical documentation.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, patient advocacy, crisis management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize, organize, and delegate daily patient care assignments.
• Administer medications, treatments, and supervise support staff in medication administration.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Document patient conditions, clinical observations, and transfer forms accurately.
• Educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and treatment goals.
• Respond to emergencies, including de-escalating agitated patients.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and facility protocols.
• Mentor staff, provide unit orientation, and support workflow coordination.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to refine care processes and improve outcomes.
