Certified Substitute Teacher

Pinon Unified School District is currently seeking a Certified Substitute Teacher to join our team. Established in 1984 with just 400 students, we have grown to educate students in preschool through grade 12 at three campuses. • Follow lesson plans left by the absent teacher
• Attend to the physical and emotional needs of students in the classroom
• Adhere to the school's policies and procedures
• Maintain a positive learning environment for students
• Effectively manage the classroom
• Use appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary
• Communicate with the regular classroom teacher and school administration as needed

• Possess a valid teaching substitute certificate
• Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter and best practices in teaching
• Ability to engage students and create a positive learning environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
