Certified Pharmacy Technician - Regular

Welcome to Yoakum Community Hospital, where we pride ourselves on providing exceptional healthcare services to our community. As a certified pharmacy technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to our patients.

In this regular part-time position, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks to support our pharmacy operations:

• Assisting in maintaining and organizing the pharmacy inventory
• Filling and packaging prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Preparing intravenous admixture solutions
• Ensuring proper storage and handling of medications
• Processing medication orders and maintaining patient profiles in our computer system
• Collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
• Providing excellent customer service to patients and addressing any medication-related questions or concerns
• Adhering to all relevant pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
• Performing other duties as assigned to support the efficient and effective operation of the pharmacy

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
• Active registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software and computer systems
