Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant. In this role, you will be an essential member of our healthcare team, working alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures.

Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.

Clinical Duties:

Perform routine laboratory tests, EKGs, and other diagnostic procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

Educate patients regarding their health conditions, medications, and follow-up care.

Administrative Tasks:

Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure efficient operations.

Update and maintain patient records accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and services.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Compliance:

Adhere to all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain patient confidentiality.

Follow established protocols and procedures for infection control and safety standards.

Requirements

Valid certification as a Medical Assistant - CMA

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in family or internal medicine.

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
