Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to gather and document clear, concise, and testable business requirements from clients. The primary focus of this role is to thoroughly understand the business needs and effectively communicate these requirements to both technical and non-technical teams, stakeholders, and the user community. The Business Analyst will collaborate with the project team and stakeholders to assess current and future business processes, data, and systems to ensure the business requirements are accurately reflected in system functionality.

Requirements

• Gather and document business requirements in a clear, testable format that aligns with business needs and adheres to DTMB and MDOS standards and policies.
• Lead requirement gathering sessions to identify affected business processes and document project requirements, involving relevant stakeholders and team members as outlined in the Communication Plan.
• Manage and maintain the project backlog throughout the Agile project lifecycle, working closely with the product owner to prioritize tasks and ensure the project stays on track.
• Ensure thorough understanding of the project scope, actively monitoring the requirements process to ensure alignment with the project's objectives.
• Be aware of high-level data governance goals and ensure stakeholders are appropriately involved in data-related decision-making.
• Proactively resolve critical IT issues that arise during the project's lifecycle, specifically relating to the BA role.
• Provide insights and analysis to inform decisions on whether to build or buy solutions for the project.
• Evaluate the impact of changes to project scope or business requirements, ensuring any adjustments align with the overall project goals.
• Complete and review System Engineering Methodology (SEM) deliverables related to the BA role, ensuring they are aligned with project area processes and approved as needed.
• Collaborate with the project team, including UI/UX solution architects, database administrators, developers, QA testers, and others, to ensure a thorough understanding of the requirements, system functionality, and scalability.

• Business Analyst: 5+ years of experience in a business analysis role.
• Quality Assurance Expertise: 5+ years of experience in quality assurance practices and processes.
• Azure DevOps Experience: 5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, particularly in creating epics, features, and user stories for projects.
• Understanding of Roles: 5+ years of experience understanding the roles and responsibilities of Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and Development teams.
• As-Is/To-Be Process Experience: 5+ years of experience analyzing and documenting both current and future-state business processes.
• Product Roadmap Creation: 3+ years of experience developing product roadmaps.
• Agile/Project Management Knowledge: 3+ years of familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
• Business Analysis Tools: 3+ years of experience using BA tools like FIGMA and Visio.
