Building Maintenance Technician - BMW

Rallye BMW, Long Island's premier BMW dealership, has immediate opportunity for a Building Maintenance Technician to perform repairs & preventative maintenance on electrical, HVAC, & plumbing systems. Position also includes equipment upkeep and general facility maintenance (such as painting water heaters, minor carpentry, tile repair, drywall, etc.) Must possess clean driver's license. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Examine the facility to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included in the work schedule, and communicate to the Service Manager.
• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed supplies.
• Understand and follow Federal, State and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Assist in snow removal as needed.
• Conduct a daily walk around to locate any problem areas.
• Report to management any major improvements needed.
• Repair any minor problems found.
• Call any vendors needed for pickup of waste tires and monitor the garbage unit disposal unit.
• As required, assist in obtaining 100% of service customer vehicles washed and vacuumed prior to delivery to customer.

Requirements

• Clean and valid driver's license.
• At least 2 years of experience in all facets of building maintenance: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
• Previous experience maintaining a large facility.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and organization skills
• Good facility analytical and problem-solving skills.

PAY RATE: $28 - $32 Per Hour Based Off Experience
