Job Description
DRIVING/DELIVERY
- Pick up and unload donations from vendors and other community donors.
- Deliveries to our disabled and elderly clients.
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle through routine cleaning, fueling, and inspection schedules and promptly communicating any unexpected repairs or concerns to the food bank manager.
- Perform duties in the warehouse (food bank) during non-driving times; sorting, stocking, bagging, and clean-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License (CDL preferred but not required) and good driving record.
- A Washington State Driving Record from the Department of Licensing. (must be provided prior to hiring)
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under stressful conditions.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and walk up one flight of stairs.
- Experience driving large vehicles. Experience with box trucks are a plus.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include weekends.
