Box truck driver

DRIVING/DELIVERY

• Pick up and unload donations from vendors and other community donors.
• Deliveries to our disabled and elderly clients.

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle through routine cleaning, fueling, and inspection schedules and promptly communicating any unexpected repairs or concerns to the food bank manager.
• Perform duties in the warehouse (food bank) during non-driving times; sorting, stocking, bagging, and clean-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Washington State Driver's License (CDL preferred but not required) and good driving record.
• A Washington State Driving Record from the Department of Licensing. (must be provided prior to hiring)
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.
• Ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under stressful conditions.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and walk up one flight of stairs.
• Experience driving large vehicles. Experience with box trucks are a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include weekends.
