Body Shop Technician

We have an immediate opening for a Body Shop Technician at our Body Shop in Frederick, MD. Our Body Shop Technicians are a vital member of our team. Work at the most modern truck paint and body shop in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. area! Our Body Shop houses a 60 ft. state-of-the-art AFC spray booth featuring the most current technology available: it is capable of painting two trucks at the same time, in two different colors, while all of the exhaust is filtered to meet EPA standards. We provide light and heavy-duty repairs for road tractors, trailers, box trucks, school buses, RVs, vans, and utility bodies. We also refurbish and modify vehicles including corporate re-identification.

• Tear down and diagnostics
• Work with estimator to compile complete parts list
• Repair damaged areas to industry standard
• Welding and Fabrication (preferred, but not required)

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have their own hand tools and relevant training and/or experience, preferably with medium and/or heavy-duty trucks. Must be self-motivated, team player ready to hit the ground running.

SKILL, TRAINING, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1 year of experience in an automotive or medium/heavy duty truck repair shop (on the job training provided)
• Box truck / trailer repair experience preferred but not required
• Must have own tools (some shop tools supplied)
• Light Mechanical experience preferred, but not required

• The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range would be $18 to $35 per hour
