Baton Rouge - Experienced Labor & Employment Attorney

McGlinchey Stafford is a premier mid-size business law firm offering services in more than 40 practice areas through a highly integrated national platform. The firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join either our New Orleans or Baton Rouge office. Ideal candidates will have a sufficient book of portable business (ideally $200,000+) as well as a demonstrated drive and the potential for additional business generation; however, a portable book is not required. Candidates will have the opportunity to take advantage of our well-developed national platform in order to expand their existing client base. Our firm offers flexibility with rates and client service arrangements, with outstanding cross-selling opportunities and autonomy. We seek candidates with: Significant experience in the practice area of Management Labor and Employment Law for businesses of all stages and sizes in a national or localized practice; our L&E team provides advice and litigation services regarding all issues in the workplace, including, but not limited to, employee relations, HR Management, related policy development, and implementation, staff and management training, employment agreements, and state and federal law compliance and litigation in labor and employment; Well-rounded experience in all areas of employment law, including, but not limited to, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Title VII, ADA, DOL, OWPA, OSHA, Wage and Hour, ERISA, FCRA, FMLA, OFCCP, WARN Act, cannabis-related employment issues, leave issues, business planning, policy drafting, workers? compensation, immigration, regulatory compliance, auditing, traditional labor and litigation, and advice in these areas is a plus, however, specialists in separate areas of labor and employment law are also welcome; Ability to work as an integral member of the L&E team with either a transactional or litigation focus and engage in cross-selling with other practice areas of the firm; Portable book of business with the ability to support others? clients (not required); and Desire to grow and expand current client base and legal experience.
