About this role

The Mission Critical Operations Manager reports directly to the Area General Manager of ALC Southwest and will be based in San Antonio, TX. The purpose of the Operations Manager is to support Operations for ALC's strategic projects and data centers with direct reports encompassing project managers, coordinators, and supervisors.

The Operations Manager will manage a portfolio of projects that range in size from less than $3Mk to greater than $10M.

Key Responsibilities

Manage field engineers through training, scheduling, and performance reviews.

Develop and deliver operations and projects to meet established targets and metrics.

Lead execution of operational goals to ensure alignment with broader organizational strategies.

Manage and lead a professional team to ensure the area of responsibility meets business strategy goals and objectives including project managers, supervisors, technicians, and coordinators.

Coaches team members to ensure operational excellence and deliver mission critical customer expectations.

Review contracts and agreements to ensure that the organization's interests are protected.

Develop and implement new business growth strategies to increase profitability and/or market share of the organization.

Represent ALC to key stakeholders to present a positive image of the organization.

Support compliance with all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), ethics, and quality control policies by overseeing necessary training, audits, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of management experience i.e., strategic planning, budgeting; coaching, and leading people.

5+ years of experience or technical knowledge of building controls/automation systems.

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field

Management experience with a focus on large-scale projects, particularly within data centers or mission-critical environments.

Project Management Professional Certificate or other relevant certification.

Project Management skills and experience with data centers.

Experience working within a construction environment.

Experience developing and implementing strategies to grow business profitability and market share.

Analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

A positive outlook with an ability to motivate and empower.

Adaptable to changing work environments.
