Position overview:

As the

Backend Expert

youre a key member of the Plant Engineering Team, reporting to Engineering . You will contribute to the success of Ball by focusing on daily operation, process and maintenance issues of printers and curing ovens and take corrective actions on time. You will focus on periodic inspection and maintenance, predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities in his area. You will gain mastery in process troubleshooting and maintenance of printers and ovens, train the operating team and get the best out of them. You will act as a link between Shift Manager, maintenance supervisor, Quality team, maintenance engineers, Electrical engineers, spare parts stores and co-ordinate all the activities of maintenance, improvements, TPM, 5s activities in the area. You will strive hard to achieve area KPIs through collaboration, teamwork and planning. You will play key role in size changeovers, Label changes and achieve best in class changeover time in the area.

Your key responsibilities include:

Responsible for Planning of and execution of preventive maintenance activities in printers and related equipment. Tracks the maintenance compliance on periodical basis and take corrective actions to bridge the gap.

The equipment in printing area in scope of printing engineer include: Printing machine, Overvarnish, Pin Oven, Inkers, chillers for Inkers, can single filer, In feed conveyors, pin stripper conveyor, pin chain lubrication system, discharge Conveyors, Viscosity controller unit, and plate making equipment.

Responsible for repairing and keep offline printer accessories

Rebuild of Inkers, Overvarnish Unit, Inker spares etc.

Ensures his area equipment are operated and maintained in optimum condition. Makes action plan / corrective plan and gets the equipment back in optimum operating conditions.

Checks the daily operations log book and note down the actions needed and includes in action list to action upon. Checks for daily maintenance compliance, randomly checks if the daily Pms are actually done on line and feedback to operating team. Compiles daily PMs compliance and send out report on periodic basis.

Repair of gearboxes, centrifugal pumps, hydraulic pumps, replacement of motor bearings, precision machine assemblies, special components.

Can do alignments and levelling of equipment, is able to do commissioning of new equipment.

Modify create SOPs, procedures, conduct Job safety analysis prior to work. Follow and maintain organizations SOPs and safe working practices.

Comply with any legal, environmental and safety, FSSC requirements and/or checks.

Educational Qualification Required:

Diploma in Printing technology / Mechanical Engineering

Experience and skills required:

6 to 10 Years Operation / maintenance experience in medium scale printing plant, either metal decoration or other high speed lithography equipment.

Hands on experience in operation and maintenance of high speed Imported Printing machines and Inkers.

Computer literacy and the ability to generate reports. Ability to read, understand and develop engineering drawings.

English
