START: 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm shift

Primary Duties:

• Operate and assist in operating multi-spindle automatic screw machines.
• Install chucks and collets, set and secure tooling holders.
• Check parts produced for dimensional and finish conformance to specifications. Remove and reset tooling or otherwise adjust machine as required.
• Maintain statistical process control charting. Also operate PC stations for charting SPC readings.
• Learn to use all standard, variable and attribute gauging to check work.
• Remove machined parts, bar ends and turnings from machines. Remove oil and separate chips from parts. Restock machine with raw materials.
• Responsible for keeping all tooling used in their area inventoried and organized in the mini-cribs.
• Learn to install and adjust tooling outlined in the 60-90-120-day skill sheet.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Understand part numbers and be able to read them.
• Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail oriented. Good judgment to comply with instructions and standard procedures, methods or practices.
• Need to understand and be able to work with and around chemicals
• Needs to have basic shop. If have not attended basic shop, will be required to attend next class.

Physical Requirements:

• Continuously lifting and moving very light weight material (1-5 lbs.)
• Frequently lifting and moving average weight material (5-50 lbs)
• Occasional lifting and moving heavy weight material up to (50 lbs. +) with assistance
