Auto Mechanic/ Vehicle Technician

Are you passionate about vehicle technology and ensuring fleet reliability? Join our team as a Fleet Technician and play a critical role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and performance of advanced fleet vehicles.

• Perform high-quality repairs and inspections efficiently and accurately per work instructions, documenting all findings in a specialized service platform.
• Conduct comprehensive multi-point inspections and system checks , recommending necessary services to enhance vehicle safety and reliability.
• Inspect and test all completed work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards .
• Travel locally as needed to set up, configure, diagnose, and sign off vehicles for safe on-road usage.
• Assist with parts and tools inventory management , ensuring that shop facilities and technician tools remain in excellent condition.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and escalate complex issues to the engineering team when necessary.
• Maintain accurate service records and create detailed quality field reports .

Requirements

• 2+ years of technician experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Extensive knowledge of tools, parts, materials, and methods used in automotive systems maintenance.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record .
• Ability to pass a background check , MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check , and drug screen while complying with our Substance Abuse Policy .
• Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive, "roll up your sleeves" work ethic .
• Exceptional communication skills and a team player attitude .
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

• Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair .
• ASE certification or manufacturer-specific training.
• Experience troubleshooting Linux-based systems , embedded modules, or self-driving systems.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and OEM systems, with expertise in:
• High-voltage (HV) systems and hybrid drivetrains.
• CAN/LIN communication protocols.
• HVAC, cooling systems, chassis, and suspension.
• Knowledge of fleet maintenance optimization .
• Willingness to occasionally travel nationally .

Pay Rate: $31 - $34 per hour
