Comprehensive Mobile Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Audiologist to join our mobile healthcare team in Virginia. As an Audiologist, you will provide essential hearing care services, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for patients experiencing hearing loss or balance disorders. Your role will involve traveling to various locations, including patients' homes and community centers, ensuring that high-quality auditory care is accessible to everyone. We are looking for an individual who possesses not only a thorough understanding of audiology but also excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and their families. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive audiometric assessments and diagnostic tests to evaluate hearing and balance disorders.
  • Fit, dispense, and modify hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.
  • Provide patient education on hearing conservation, device usage, and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans.
  • Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in electronic health record systems.
  • Adapt treatment methodologies to suit the mobile care environment effectively.
  • Engage in community outreach and education initiatives to promote awareness of hearing health.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure to practice audiology in Virginia.
  • Experience with hearing assessments and intervention techniques is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and audiological practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple patient appointments in a mobile care setting.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with hearing challenges.
