The Alternate Public Defender North Central Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender II in Gainesville, GA. This office serves the Northeastern (Hall County), Appalachian (Gilmer County), Mountain (Habersham County), and Enotah (White County) Circuits. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position, including preparing cases for trial, zealously advocating and defending their client, seeking and negotiating plea depositions, and entering pleas in the felony cases in Superior Court. Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. A strong commitment to indigent defense is also required.

Description of Duties:The Assistant Public Defender II will provide competent and zealous representation and advocacy to indigent clients.
