Associate- Treasury Management & Reconciliations

We are seeking an experienced SWIFT Messaging Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SWIFT messaging, including extensive knowledge of various SWIFT message types (MT101, MT202, MT103, MT199, MT292, MT295, MT195, MT910, MT940) and their related fields.

The associate will be responsible for monitoring, processing, troubleshooting SWIFT messages and managing projects across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

Payment Processing:

• Processing SWIFT payments i.e. MT101, MT202, MT103, MT199, MT292, MT295, MT195, MT910, MT940.
• Processing Inward transactions and ensuring client funds are Safeguarded.
• Cash Management: Monitor daily cash positions and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity requirements are met.
• Treasury Reporting: Assist in the preparation of regular cash and treasury reports, including liquidity reports for senior management.
• Payment Enquiries: Manage internal payment queries to ensure SLAs are met. Liaise with Client Services team to resolve any payment or beneficiary discrepancies.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost-saving initiatives within treasury and payments functions.

Cash Reconciliation:

• Manage daily reconciliation of Ledgers & Statements ensuring the entries are matched correctly and any unreconciled entries are escalated for resolution.
• Ensure all deposits and withdrawals are properly accounted for and recorded in a timely manner.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between cash balances and recorded transactions.
• Investigate Return of funds and recall requests.
• Interacting with correspondent bank to resolve statement related breaks.
• Thorough understanding about journal entry postings.
• Awareness about advanced excel shortcuts & formulas

Requirements

Experience:

• 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience working in Payment's domain handling SWIFT payments across various currencies, having payment background for CAD/USD would be preferred.
• Expertise in SWIFT messages creation (MT101, MT202, MT103, MT199, MT292, MT295, MT195, MT910, MT940).
• Deep understanding of the Swift fields & payment formatting requirements for Global currencies.

Education:

• A degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Attention to Detail High accuracy in processing payments, managing data and reporting to stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Accurately performing tasks along with multi-tasking skills.
• Willing to work from office on all 5 days
• Primarily Night shift but should be Open to all Shifts.
