A well-established defense firm is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney with 46 years of experience to join its team in the Pasadena, CA office. The firm is expanding its General Civil Litigation practice and is looking for an attorney who can collaborate effectively with Partners and senior attorneys while maintaining a billable hour target of 1,800+ hours per year.

The firm is well-staffed in specialized areas such as Trusts & Estates Litigation and Banking/Finance Litigation but is focused on strengthening its General Civil Litigation practice to address a broader range of client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Partners and senior attorneys to manage a diverse range of civil litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Manage cases from inception to resolution while meeting billable hour requirements.
• Work across practice areas as needed to support the firm's overall litigation portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Active California Bar License.
• 46 years of experience in General Civil Litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage competing deadlines.
• A proactive approach to case management and client service.
