In the role of Midwest Transplant Network (MTN) Assistant General Counsel, this individual is responsible for supporting the organization by providing legal advice on a wide range of matters involving employment law, contract review and negotiation and records requests including providing counsel, recommendations, interpretations, legal advice and guidance to MTN team members, while ensuring the appropriate consideration of strategic legal issues and risk management in achieving the MTN Mission. As requested, the position will work with designated MTN Outside Legal Counsel on issues as determined necessary or prioritized by the General Counsel, the executive team and/or the governing board. This position will also assist with maintaining a compliant privacy program and ensuring that MTN?s policies that protect the integrity of health information are enforced.
