Assistant Controller

The role performs a variety of accounting tasks regarding accounts receivable , accounts payable , job costing , inventory , payroll and month end financial statements.

Company Overview: We are a 48-year-old commercial printer. Our annual revenue is $20mil, we specialize in manufacturing high quality, high volume; catalogs, magazines, brochures, and marketing collateral for a variety of industries.

Team Overview: You will work directly under CFO , with the help of an assistant. This is a full time position, we work onsite, no remote available.We hold reviews quarterly for the first year, then bi-annually. We are a fast-paced, lean organization where everyone pulls their own weight. We are focused on technology, automation and streamlining all aspects of our business.

Requirements

Who we are looking for: We want someone with strong accounting skills that can handle the typical accounting roles, AR, AP, etc, but also grow into a redundancy or backup for our CFO role.

Requirements:

Must have business central experience.

Must have extensive experience in accounting, full book keeper experience.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred

Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered

Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data

Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines

Strong organization, oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines

Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word as well as experience with accounting software and general ledgers

Analytical skills with particular attention to detail

Goals: Help Automate and Streamline accounting process .
