The Moonbeam Bakery is seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Baker to join our team. As an Assistant Baker, you will play a crucial role in the production of our delicious baked goods, ensuring that they meet our high standards of taste, quality, and presentation. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of doughs, batters, fillings, and icings according to established recipes and procedures
- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately to ensure consistent product quality
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, and scales
- Monitor baking process, adjusting temperatures and baking times as needed to achieve desired results
- Decorate and garnish baked goods with glazes, icings, and toppings
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the baking area, following strict sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory management, as well as receiving and storing ingredients and supplies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a bakery or culinary environment preferred
- Knowledge of different baking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
