Toolkit Tutors is dedicated to enhancing student learning through in-school and after-school tutoring services. We focus on delivering personalized educational support that fosters a love for learning.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Algebra I & Living Environment Tutor to join our team. This role involves providing in-person tutoring to high school students across NYC, preparing them for the Algebra I and Living Environment Regents exams.

Compensation: $28-30/hour

Schedule:

• Commitment starting October 16, 2024, through May 2025
• 2 five-hour days each week

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individualized and small-group tutoring sessions
• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learner needs
• Track and assess student progress, offering consistent feedback
• Use varied instructional strategies to enhance learning
• Work collaboratively with school staff to nurture an inclusive learning environment
• Engage in professional development opportunities

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field
• Previous experience in tutoring or teaching high school Algebra and Living Environment
• Familiarity with the Algebra I and Living Environment New York State Regents exams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Passion for helping students succeed and access to learning resources
