Agile DevOps Coach

We are hiring an experienced DevOps Coach to help us support existing and new customers. If you're dedicated, ambitious and have a passion for working with the latest leading edge Cloud Native and on-prem technologies, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

In this role you will be responsible for working with clients to evaluate their current DevOps culture, processes, and tools to make recommendations for improvements, lead the execution of identified improvements, and be a hands-on engineer as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess current organizational practices and processes toidentify opportunities for improvement as well as to provide directiontoward those improvements.
• Analyze current technology utilized within the company anddevelop steps and processes to continuously improve and expand upon them
• Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departmentsand develop processes to facilitate their collaboration
• Assist developers and engineers in creating practicaldemonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to othermembers of the team
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutionsincluding products, processes materials, manpower and time necessary
• Provide clear organizational as well as build and release managementand engineering goals for all areas of a product or program and developsteps to oversee their timely execution
• Work closely with development and engineering professionalswithin the company to maintain infrastructure and software required for productsto be continually delivered effectively
• Mentor and train other developers and engineers throughout thecompany and seek to continually improve processes companywide
• Work alongside product or program management team tosuccessfully monitor and demonstrate progress and implementation of improvementsand initiatives

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps focused role, includingsoftware development, system engineering and leadership
• Experience assessing DevOps organizations and makingrecommendations for improvement
• Experience leading/managing software developers and systemsengineers within cultures that look to embrace DevOps philosophies
• Experience with various cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), as wellas on-prem
• Experience with a variety of DevOps tools and technologies,such as Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Istio, Prometheus,GitHub, etc.
• Experience developing, deploying, releasing, and supportinglarge scale systems
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relatedfield is preferred
• Current understanding of best practices regarding systemsecurity measures
• Advanced education and application of business analysistechniques and strategy
• Experience with software and systems engineering
• Experience working together with teams from severaldepartments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed strategy anddirection.
• Professional experience and a high-level understanding ofworking with various operating systems and their implications
• Professional work experience in team building and softwaredelivery team organizations

LOCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to work remotely as well as occasionally on-site in the Tampa Bay Area as needed
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (no subcontracts or visa sponsorship)
