After School Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Teacher to join our team in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for elementary school-aged children. The ideal candidate will support physical activity, assist with homework planning and supervision, and create fun and educational activities to enhance the children's learning experience.

Requirements

• Supervision and Care: Provide attentive supervision and care for children in a safe environment, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
• Homework Support: Assist students with their homework, offering guidance and encouragement to help them complete assignments effectively.
• Activity Planning: Develop and implement engaging classroom activities that promote physical activity, creativity, and social interaction. Activities may include arts and crafts, games, sports, and educational projects.
• Physical Activity Support: Encourage and facilitate physical activities, ensuring that children are active and engaged. This includes organizing outdoor games and structured exercise routines.
• Communication: Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and activities. Foster positive relationships with students to build trust and a supportive atmosphere.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure that program objectives are met and to create a cohesive team environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with elementary school-aged children in a classroom or after-school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
• Knowledge of child development and educational practices.
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in Spanish (preferred)

Benefits

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
