Salary / Hourly Rate: $60,000 - $75,000 per year

Job Summary:

The Adult Therapist plays a vital role in delivering therapeutic services to adult clients experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life stressors. This role requires a high degree of empathy, clinical skill, and the ability to foster a safe and supportive treatment environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues in adult clients
• Build and maintain therapeutic alliances that support client safety, trust, and healing
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each client
• Deliver therapy using evidence-based approaches including CBT, grief counseling, and interpersonal therapy
• Facilitate group counseling sessions when appropriate
• Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated
• Document therapy sessions and maintain clinical records in compliance with privacy and legal regulations
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed
• Collaborate with medical providers and other behavioral health team members to support comprehensive care
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices

Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:

• Master's degree in a behavioral health field such as Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
• Active and valid Arizona state license, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including work with individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use issues
• Proficiency in brief therapy models (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation) and evidence-based treatments (e.g., CBT, Interpersonal Therapy)
