Overview / Job Summary:
The Adjunct Faculty Instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities for WSU Tech.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
- Primary responsibilities will be teaching day or evening Aviation Manufacturing courses that include; Safety, blueprint reading, precision measuring, sheet metal assembly, and other courses as required.
- Follows the appropriate course syllabus for each course as noted in the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Keeps students informed and updated regarding course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance expectations.
- Develops, revises, and/or recommends curriculum changes that meet the objectives of the course/program and enhance student learning.
- Maintains accurate and complete scholastic records including course messaging in the LMS, grades, census rosters and attendance records
- Ensures that each program/class meets the WSU Tech Course Standards, includes all necessary curricular components, utilizes effective teaching methods/practices (pedagogy), and reflects current industry practices.
- The successful candidate will have an extensive background in a wide array of manufacturing processes.
Requirements
Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or higher-level degreepreferred
- Basic mastery of applicable technical certificationpreferred
- Two years of instructional teaching or training experiencepreferred
- Maintains mandatory licensure/certification for assigned class/program
