SUMMARY

Proficio is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This position plays a crucial role in our organization's financial operations by managing vendor relationships, timing accounts payable disbursements, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail to support our company's financial objectives and maintain efficient payment processes.

DUTIES

The Accounting Specialist will provide a variety of accounting and clerical support activities. Responsibilities include:

• Process and verify vendor bills, expense reports, and payment requests in line with company policies and accounting procedures
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment discrepancies
• Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable ledgers
• Preparing bank reconciliations related to payments
• Manage accounts payable aging and escalating the applicable urgencies for payment
• As AP tasks are mastered, grow into month end close responsibilities such as handling depreciation and creation of other journal entries and/or work into other account reconciliations
• Filing/administrative work
• Other ad-hoc duties as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years proven performance in complex AP processing with preference for experience billing large multi-year contracts across a multitude of bills for varying services, deliverables, and timelines
• Experience with NetSuite is desired; MS Office skills required
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills, ability to self-audit, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills
• Detail-Oriented and able to be trained/mentored in additional tasks and responsibilities
