Accounts Payable / Payroll Clerk

Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are seeking an Accounts Payable / Payroll Clerk for Firetrol's district office in Mobile, Alabama.

Job Duties Include:

• Maintaining Accounts Payable files and records for audits.
• Investigating and resolving any material or job cost irregularities or discrepancies.
• Conducting credit card payments and deposits.
• Ensuring payments are applied to the correct invoices.
• Managing and requesting tax certificates from customers, as needed.
• Providing efficient and professional administrative and clerical service to colleagues and supervisors.
• Processing of vendor invoices and credits in accounts payable system consistently and accurately.
• Adapt and adhere to any new responsibilities given by reporting manager.

Requirements

Attention to detail is a MUST

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication skillsboth written and verbal

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Experience with accounting software such as Microsoft Great Plains preferred

Knowledge of payroll procedures and regulations

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
