Accounting Manager

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organization, is seeking an experienced

Accounting Manager

to oversee and manage our accounting operations in King of Prussia, PA. This role will lead a team of

eight accounting professionals , ensuring compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, month-end close processes, and team leadership within a large corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage an accounting team of 8, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

Oversee

monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare and review

financial statements, reconciliations, and reports

in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.

Ensure compliance with

SOX, internal controls, and regulatory requirements .

Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Finance, Tax, and Auditing teams.

Manage general ledger activities, accruals, and journal entries.

Assist with external and internal audit processes, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.

Implement

process improvements

to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.

Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

(CPA preferred).

5+ years of progressive accounting experience , preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences company.

3+ years of leadership experience , managing accounting teams in a corporate environment.

Strong knowledge of

GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls .

Experience with

ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred) .

Advanced proficiency in

Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools .

Excellent

analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills .

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
