Accountant

Aspen Fiber Networks, a leading information technology solutions provider, is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable individual to join our team as an Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

As an Accountant, you will work closely with the finance team to oversee financial transactions, prepare budgets, conduct audits, and provide insights for decision-making. Your expertise in accounting principles and analytical skills will be crucial to maintaining the financial health of the organization.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
• Manage and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct financial audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws.
• Provide financial analysis and support for strategic planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in the information technology industry is a plus.
