About the First Year Associate Experience
First Year Associates at Mintz are hired into one of the firm?s offices and immersed into a practice area.The firm?s Orientation & Training, ?Base Camp? takes place in our Boston office and brings the full class together for a week of practical training and networking. First Year Associates are given formal mentors that can serve as a resource during their transition to the firm. It's not long before First Year Associates know our lawyers, understand what we do, and are ready to hit the ground running after law school.
Collaboration with team members is an important component of this role. This role requires 60% in-office presence; remote work is permissible 40% of the time.
About the Real Estate Section
Mintz?s real estate practice represents domestic and international clients in sophisticated, large-scale real estate acquisition, disposition, joint venture, development, financing, and leasing transactions. Our team represents Fortune 50 to 500 companies, landlords and tenants, corporate, institutional, family office and individual owners, investors, and developers of multifamily, industrial office, retail, data center, and other commercial projects across the country. We pride ourselves on helping clients efficiently navigate risks and opportunities in the ever-changing real estate market.
The Real Estate section is seeking a first year Associate to join in our Boston, New York, or Los Angeles office. We anticipate a start date in September of 2026.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
- Must be graduating with a J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA accredited law school.
- Must be eligible for admission to the Bar for the jurisdiction in which the candidate is applying.
- Must possess excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Must possess a high level of professionalism and client readiness
- Must be able to balance and prioritize multiple competing priorities and responsibilities, be highly organized and exercise extreme attention to detail.
- Must be able to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.
