About the First Year Associate Experience First Year Associates at Mintz are hired into one of the firm?s offices and immersed into a practice area. The firm?s Orientation & Training, ?Base Camp? takes place in our Boston office and brings the full class together for a week of practical training and networking. First Year Associates are given formal mentors that can serve as a resource during their transition to the firm. It's not long before First Year Associates know our lawyers, understand what we do, and are ready to hit the ground running after law school. Collaboration with team members is an important component of this role. This role requires 60% in-office presence; remote work is permissible 40% of the time. About the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Section Mintz offers a nationally recognized bankruptcy practice. Unlike many bankruptcy practices, Mintz has represented all parties and interests involved in a debtor/creditor relationship including debtors, creditors, committees, examiners, trustees, lenders and borrowers, landlords, equipment lessors, acquirers, and bondholders and indenture trustees. We pride ourselves on having one of the foremost national bankruptcy practices representing tax-exempt municipal bondholders and their indenture trustees. The Bankruptcy & Restructuring section is seeking a first year Associate to join our Boston or New York office. Qualifications and Desired Skills Must be graduating with a J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA accredited law school. Must be eligible for admission to the Bar for the jurisdiction in which the candidate is applying. Must possess excellent written/verbal communication skills Must possess a high level of professionalism and client readiness Must be able to balance and prioritize multiple competing priorities and responsibilities, be highly organized and exercise extreme attention to detail. Must be able to collaborate and work effectively in team settings. Required documents: resume, cover letter, and transcripts.
