M-Th 2 nd

3:30p-2a (most needed) - $2.00 shift differential

Sun-Wed ? 6a-430p - $2.00 shift differential

Wed-Sun ? 6a-430p - $2.00 shift differential

The purpose of this position is to fabricate optical components according to customer specifications.

Performs various optical fabrication processes including but not limited to:

beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and inspection/measurements.

Reports to Production Supervisor or Production Manager

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Critical Thinking/problem-solving skills

Can take part from print to finished optic that meets customer specs

Establishes Baume and PH levels

Blocking ? advanced skills include alignment blocking

Polishing ? advanced skills single, test plates, wedge control

Understands integrated effects between process steps and can identify the impact and suggest process improvements

Recommends and implements process improvements

Trains lower-level techs

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required preferred.

Teamwork ? works effectively within the team and across departments.

Provides guidance lower levels techs and provides input to higher-level techs and engineers.

May take on a lead role for a specific department project

5+ years of optics experience preferred
