Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable and well-rounded youth sports instructor to train individuals and small groups. Your main responsibilities will include teaching the proper rules and techniques for different sports, identifying and correcting any form or technique issues, and promoting safe and effective ways to play. You will also help improve the mental and emotional well-being of your trainees through mentoring and coaching.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and coordination skills. A good youth sports instructor will also encourage persistence and respect among their trainees.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach proper rules and procedures for various sports.
  • Analyze and correct form, agility, and techniques.
  • Ensure safety by teaching proper techniques and supervising equipment use.
  • Provide remedial lessons for injuries.
  • Recommend nutrition guidelines if requested.
  • Prepare trainees for upcoming tournaments.
  • Promote mental agility through coaching.
  • Encourage diligence, sportsmanship, and adherence to rules.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an instructor training program is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a sports instructor, preferably for youth.
  • Proven track record of success in sports.
  • Strong diagnostic skills related to sports.
  • Excellent coordination, mentoring, and risk-taking abilities.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
