We are seeking a skilled tax auditor to review our company's financial records and procedures. Your main responsibilities will include determining compliance with tax regulations, performing tax calculations, and creating a tax audit report for our financial managers to take action on.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Traveling to various locations to examine tax documents and financial records
- Evaluating accounting systems and creating audit plans
- Determining taxable income, deductions, and nontaxable expenses
- Applying federal, state, and city tax laws to auditing procedures
- Assessing tax refunds, collecting unpaid taxes, and filing tax returns
- Compiling and presenting detailed tax audit reports to financial managers
- Making recommendations and implementing best practices in tax management
- Keeping up-to-date with tax laws, regulations, and auditing practices
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a focus on internal auditing
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent certification preferred
- At least 2 years of experience as a tax auditor
- Proficiency in tax auditing software, such as BNA Corporate Tax Audit Analyzer and KDK Spectrum
- Thorough knowledge of all relevant tax laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and ability to provide guidance
- Willingness to travel to client locations
