Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing lesson plans and curricula for STEM subjects.
- Creating engaging activities and hands-on materials for students.
- Using data to track student progress and make improvements to the curriculum.
- Addressing individual student needs and providing extra support when necessary.
- Being aware of and respectful of cultural and background differences among students.
- Communicating regularly with parents about student progress and any concerns.
- Monitoring student growth and providing feedback to students.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- Teaching license for the relevant subject area.
- Knowledge of best practices for teaching STEM subjects.
- Empathy and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs such as Word and Excel.
- Experience working with children and adolescents. Previous experience as a STEM teacher is a plus.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
