Job Description

We are looking for a hard-working staff accountant to join our accounting team. Your main duties will include keeping track of financial records and reports, reconciling accounts, assisting with budgeting and closing processes, conducting internal audits, and managing accounts payable documents. You will also collaborate with the accounting manager and provide information for audits and management requests.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent organization, communication, and analytical skills. You should also be able to maintain a general ledger accurately and follow the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keep financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts up-to-date.
  • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations, and assist with monthly closing processes.
  • Contribute to the development and review of annual budgets and performance projections.
  • Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury, and conduct internal audits.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines.
  • Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist the accounting manager as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Good problem-solving and time management abilities.
