We are looking for a hard-working Public Information Officer to be the face of our organization. Your main responsibilities will include creating media strategies to showcase our positive image, arranging interviews between the press and our executives, and handling any public relations crises that may arise.

To be successful as a Public Information Officer, you should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ideal candidate should also be knowledgeable about the media and pay close attention to details.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organizing press conferences to announce important news or address crises.
  • Writing press releases, speeches, articles, social media posts, and other materials for the public.
  • Developing effective strategies for working with the media.
  • Maintaining good relationships with media organizations.
  • Working with our executives and marketing team to maintain a consistent public image.
  • Collaborating with different departments to plan and host public events and promotions.
  • Communicating directly with the public and media to answer questions and represent our organization.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a public relations role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the media, including social media.
  • Organized and detail-oriented work ethic.
  • Willingness to travel at short notice.
