Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced production planner to join our team. Your main responsibilities will include monitoring inventory levels, providing regular updates to management, and ensuring timely delivery of products to customers. You will also closely monitor the production process to ensure that orders are completed on time and within budget.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of material requirements planning and be able to manage production deadlines. You should also possess excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate purchase orders and create production schedules.
  • Estimate material, equipment, and labor needed for production.
  • Address production issues promptly to minimize delays.
  • Coordinate production operations based on available resources.
  • Suggest ways to reduce costs and improve production processes and product quality.
  • Make changes to production schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Compile and submit status and performance reports to management.
  • Communicate any changes to relevant departments.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or another relevant certification (advantageous).
  • Previous experience as a production planner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
