We are looking for a qualified preschool director to oversee the day-to-day operations and administration of our preschool. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood development and be a strong leader. Their responsibilities will include hiring staff, maintaining the property, marketing and communication, managing finances, and working with various stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills and a love for children. You must also be committed to upholding the preschool's values and meeting state standards. Ultimately, a great preschool director will identify the preschool's needs, prioritize the safety of the children, and report to the board of directors.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the preschool.
  • Collaborate with the principal to oversee staff.
  • Create policies and curriculum that meet state requirements.
  • Maintain the preschool's property.
  • Manage finances and create budgets.
  • Maintain the school's website and social media presence.
  • Schedule CPR and First Aid training for staff.
  • Plan and schedule fundraising events.
  • Schedule ongoing training for teachers.
  • Oversee meal planning and preparation for the children.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree in early childhood development or a related field.
  • Certification from the National Child Care Association (NAC), if required by the state.
  • State license.
  • Child Care Administrator License, if applicable.
  • At least 3 years of experience in this role.
  • At least 3 years of classroom experience.
  • Strong leadership and administrative skills.
  • Passion for teaching and working with children.
  • Clean criminal record with no child-related offenses.
