Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep track of stock levels on the store floor
- Bring merchandise from storage to the store
- Assist with handling, packing, and pricing of merchandise
- Create attractive displays for products and promotions
- Monitor inventory levels and predict customer demand
- Track sales and order more stock when needed
- Maintain stock records and stay within budget for orders
- Supervise purchasing, returns, and exchanges
- Communicate with suppliers about pricing, promotions, and special orders
- Report to senior managers and answer customer questions
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in retail management or related field preferred
- At least two years of experience in a similar role in a retail environment
- Proficiency in office and retail management software (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Retail Pro)
- Extensive knowledge of retail strategies and consumer behavior
- Experience with stock records and managing merchandise budgets
- Ability to handle merchandise movement, packing, pricing, and replenishment
