Job Description

We are currently seeking a medical coordinator to ensure the smooth operation of our facility?s administrative tasks, appointment scheduling, and patient admissions. This role requires handling front desk duties, coordinating with other medical professionals, and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have previous clerical experience in the medical field, be comfortable with administrative tasks, and have strong customer service skills. A great medical coordinator will be able to handle all aspects of their job and step in to assist with other administrative duties when needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answering emails, phone calls, and mail for the facility
  • Scheduling appointments for patients, nurses, and doctors
  • Assisting staff and patients with admissions and following proper medical protocols
  • Verifying information on patient medical records
  • Monitoring staff performance
  • Ensuring adequate medical supplies are available
  • Coordinating patient admissions and discharges
  • Consulting with doctors and nurses about patient medical records
  • Ensuring all forms and documents are completed accurately
  • Handling complaints and inquiries professionally

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in healthcare or administration
  • At least three years of experience as a medical administrative officer or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of important medical reports, such as pathology reports and general health checks
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and abbreviations
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Understanding of emergency protocols and safety guidelines
