A mediator helps people who are having trouble settling their disagreements on their own. Instead of telling them what to do, a mediator helps them think through the problem and come up with a fair solution.

Job Description

We are looking for a neutral mediator to help our clients resolve their conflicts. The mediator will look into what caused the problem, talk to both sides, and guide them towards finding a solution that they both agree on. The mediator will also make sure that everyone stays respectful and engaged throughout the process.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Figure out what caused the conflict
  • Talk to both sides and explain your role as a mediator
  • Give each person a chance to explain their side of the story
  • Share your understanding of the situation and ask for corrections if needed
  • Help both sides see the other's point of view
  • Facilitate open and honest discussions to find a fair solution
  • Make sure everyone agrees on the next steps
  • Be available for more discussions if needed

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completed mediation training program
  • Proven experience in resolving conflicts peacefully
  • Good at picking up on nonverbal cues
  • Able to address and correct misunderstandings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Neutral, adaptable, and decisive
  • Able to remain impartial and not take sides
