We are looking for a hard-working and efficient kitchen porter to join our team. Your main duties will include washing, cleaning, and helping with basic meal preparation in the kitchen. This includes cutting and portioning meat, keeping track of food supplies, and storing dishes and equipment properly. You should also be able to follow recipes accurately.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the kitchen, including walls, stoves, sinks, ovens, and grills.
  • Sweeping and mopping the kitchen during and after shifts.
  • Washing dishes, cutting boards, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Maintaining and checking kitchen equipment to make sure it?s working properly.
  • Receiving and unpacking deliveries.
  • Emptying, cleaning, and lining garbage cans as needed.
  • Keeping refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Assisting the chef with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Food handler?s license.
  • Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen.
