Job Description

We are looking for a positive and proactive IT project manager to oversee project teams and ensure that IT projects are completed on time. The IT project manager will establish a PMO, direct and coordinate resources across project divisions, and ensure compliance with project budget and requirements. They will also document instructions for end-users and assist with product testing. Communication with stakeholders throughout all project phases is a key aspect of this role, as well as efficiently closing the project.

To be successful in this role, you must deliver a well-documented, tested, and functioning product within the designated time and budget. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and a positive attitude.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in establishing a PMO to oversee multiple projects.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, such as project personnel, vendors, and end-users, to understand project requirements.
  • Create project outlines, definitions, and initiate the project.
  • Implement document control policies and templates.
  • Maintain a good understanding of assigned component projects.
  • Evaluate standards of component products.
  • Monitor project progress and make necessary changes.
  • Track project expenditures and stay within the budget.
  • Ensure compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Compile project reports and communicate any issues to management.
  • Ensure project adheres to best practices, SOPs, PMO policies, and other policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, MCSE, or similar certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a project management role.
  • Understanding of MSP ticketing and Alert Management Systems.
  • Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
